Marie J. Lund
Mrs. Marie Augusta Johnson Lund, 40, of 772 N. Liberty, died at noon Sunday at the Veterans Hospital In Salt Lake City of acute leukemia. Mrs. Lund was born May 1, 1927, in Gonvick, Minn., a daughter of AxeI Edward and Ida Marie Lien Johnson. On Sept. 12, 1959, she was married to Fred A. Lund in Ogden. She resided in Gonvick, Minn., until 1945 when she moved to Roy. She enlisted In the Army on Nov. 13, 1949, and was stationed in Japan for 18 months. She was discharged Jan. 13, 1953. She reenlisted In July 1955 and was stationed in Germany end discharged in September 1958. She was a cost accountant and worked at the Clearfield Naval Supply Depot, Hill Air Force Base and Internal Revenue Western Service' Center. She was a member of the Ascension Lutheran Church. Surviving are her husband, one daughter, Valerie Ann Lund, Ogden, her mother of Ogden, three sisters, Mrs. Atvin (Hulda) Klema, Mrs. David (Alice) Sparks, both of Ogden, Mrs. Milton (Gertrude) Hetland, Torranee, Calif.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 3 p.m. at the Myers Mortuary with Rev. Robert C. Berndt of the Ascension Lutheran Church officiating. Friends may call at the mortuary Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday prior to services. Burial in Ogden City Cemetery. [2]
